Hurst and Fourier are two utterly different analysis methods. Hurst created a model that assumes that each cycle has a fixed relationship with the higher and lower cycles. Therefore, a 40-day cycle has a 20-day cycle and is part of an 80-day cycle. In rare cases, Hurst used a relationship of one to three instead of one to two.

I will first discuss the current Hurst analysis and then show the more common Fourier analysis, which I usually show in the Cockpit newsletter.
